Two years later, SLCA had a 5,000-m2 extension built, in order to keep up with its strong growth. This marked the start of composites activities in Florange. Over the years, the company became more specialized and developed partnerships with the great names of the aircraft industry: Airbus, Eurocopter and Embraer. In 2005, its scope was expanded, and it offered its customers a full range of services, from design to aftermarket support. In 2016, SLCA changed its name and became Safran Systems Aerostructures. Then in 2019, it joined Safran Nacelles as a production site for that company.</p> <p>"<em>The past 40 years have been filled with great learning and progress for the Florange site.
