Safran Nacelles is one of the main integrators of aircraft engine nacelle systems in the world. On the business jet market for which Safran Nacelles has notably developed thrust reverser concepts (PERT? and Butterfly), Safran Nacelles is the partner of the main aircraft manufacturers: Bombardier, Dassault, Gulfstream, Learjet, Cessna, Embraer, etc.
Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X/8X Nacelle Systems and Duct
Safran Nacelles nacelle systems and an S-duct equip the Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X and 8X powered by three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307 engines.
The Falcon 7X/8X Safran Nacelles nacelle systems, made from a very high percentage of composite materials, incorporate a Target type two-door thrust reverser with a thrust reverser attachment flange made using RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) technology and participate in the reduced noise footprint of the Falcon 7X/8X propulsion system by means of their composite-material acoustic skin.
The S-duct of the central engine of the Falcon 7X incorporates a linear acoustic treatment which contributes to lower noise levels in the cabin.
The S-duct program for the Falcon 7X put into service in April 2007 was started in July 1993 while its nacelle systems program was started in August 2001.
The Falcon 8X, announced in May 2014, performed its maiden flight on 6 February 2015.
